Dear Owners and Residents, the Board of Supervisors understands that everyone is looking forward to reopening the pool and other District amenities and facilities as soon as it is safe and feasible to do so. The Board is anxious to do so as well and has been closely monitoring the directives, orders, and decisions of government and public health officials with respect to reopening our facilities. Based on the current information, the Board will keep all facilities closed pending the following:
- Pool and spa: The pool and spa will remain closed as long as Manatee County public pools remain closed. Once Manatee County provides a date and procedures for reopening county public pools, the Board will determine whether it is also safe and feasible to open the District pool and spa and any restrictions that will need to be put in place to permit reopening.
- Clubhouse: The clubhouse and restrooms will remain closed until it is safe to reopen the pool and spa.
- Fitness Center: The fitness center will remain closed in accordance with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 20-112.
While the facilities remain closed, the District is conducting maintenance and cleaning of the facilities so they will be in excellent condition upon reopening. Among other things, the District is having the the pool furniture and pool deck pressure washed, painting areas within the clubhouse, and replacing ceiling fans and light fixtures. A full deep clean and disinfection to treat the facilities for COVID-19 and other viruses will be conducted immediately prior to reopening the facilities.
The District may impose conditions upon reopening the above facilities in accordance with the directives and orders of government and public health officials, such as capacity limits, social distancing requirements, reduced hours of operation, etc. Residents will be notified of any such conditions. Please check the forestcreekcdd.org website for updates on facility closures and reopening plans. The Board appreciates your support and cooperation during this difficult time. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
